AirbrushingRodz 'n' Sodz introduces the newest member of the team, the award wining airbrush artist, Andy Davinci. Profile I have now been Airbrushing for approximately 25 years, throughout this time I have also learned how to do custom bodywork from filling small dents on a car and bike panels to large scale restoration work. I have also developed skills in the application of a full range of paints and effects through to the end result of refinishing. I have an extensive knowledge of custom paint and have developed and patented my own paint effects which has been granted in England and pending in the USA. This will be available in the future but is confidential for the time being. I class myself as a product decorator because I paint all manner of objects from DVD players, laptops, PC cases & briefcases. I have won many awards including best in show awards in the UK for categories in Cars, Motorcycles, Scooters (Lambrettas). These categories include Portraits, technical illustration, race paint, airbrush graphics showing flames and moving flag effects etc. My work has featured in many magazine publications both on the front cover and in the centre spreads. They have been featured in magazines such as Maxpower, Streetfighters, Fast car and Scootering. The most important piece of equipment that I use for serious airbrushing, especially portrait work is an old Devilbis super 63, I have tried all new Devilbis range of airbrushes but I prefer to use the old ones. My portraiture skills have excelled due to my mother’s tuition as she was an art teacher at school, so I have been lucky.
